DM Voice candidate Wolodymyr Smishkewych appointed to Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at University of Limerick

DM Voice candidate Wolodymyr Smishkewych has been recently appointed to the faculty of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick in Ireland as the Course Director of the MA program in Ritual Chant and Song.

This position includes teaching voice and performance practice for medieval chant and world song traditions, something which Vlad specialized in during his time at Jacobs as a student of both the EMI and the Voice Department, and later as director of the IUJSoM International Vocal Ensemble.

He joins his partner, Yonit Kosovske (DM, IUJSoM 2008) on faculty at the Irish World Academy. He also rejoins Paris-based Sequentia Ensemble for Medieval Music for a new program to be premiered this summer, and to teach at the renowned Vancouver Early Music Festival in August.
