Instructor of String Instrument Repair (PART-TIME)

Appointment Effective Beginning August 2019

RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a part-time position with responsibilities divided between two areas: (1) Teaching the four-semester sequence of Violin Repair coursework, and (2) Coordinating the String Repair Technical Crew, which maintains and performs minor repairs upon the school’s collection of string instruments.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training in string instrument making and repair; significant professional experience in the same. Experience teaching in an academic setting is desirable.

SALARY AND RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience; regardless of rank, the appointment will be adjunct (part-time).
