Soprano Fang-Yu Lin, DM’11, and cellist Yi-Pei Lee, DM’09, have been invited to serve as faculty members at Saarburg Serenaden International Music Festival, Germany, in July 2012. The focal point of the festival is chamber music, with a special feature on introducing rarely performed chamber and vocal works.
Cellist Yi-Pei Lee, a former student of Helga Winold, is currently an assistant professor at Chinese Culture University and the founding member of the P3 Piano Trio in Taiwan. As an advocate of contemporary music, Lee gave Taiwan premieres of works by Bernhard Heiden and commissioned and performed Elegy and Capriccio for Solo Cello by Wendy Wan-Ki Lee in Asia and North America.
Soprano Fang-Yu (Grace) Lin, a student of Patricia Wise while at IU, made her Carnegie Hall Stein Auditorium debut in 2011. Lin has performed in the U.S., Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Italy, and Slovenia, singing in large choral works, scenes from opera, and many recitals and concerts. She currently serves as an assistant professor at Fu Jen Catholic University and Tun Hai University, Taiwan.
