Soprano Suna Avci, a student of Costanza Cuccaro, recently completed a performance tour of Turkey with the Chicago-based chamber group Trio Chicago and Friends. Through the American Consulates of Istanbul and Adana, the group traveled to six cities in five days, giving concerts of American music ranging from operatic excerpts to folk tunes and jazz standards. The group also taught three master classes at local universities and music conservatories during their tour.
