Dear Prof. Kiesgen,
Thank you for being such a great teacher and someone I always knew I could count on to give me support and a kind word with my singing. You always encouraged me to be my best. You have touched my life for good. Thank you. I am greatful to have known you. You will be missed.
Juliet
As a teacher and friend Paul was, gentle, kind, persistent, insistent, brilliant. I am where I am today because of him, not only as a singer, but as a teacher. Most of what I know about the human voice and singing, I learned from Paul.
I will never forget our conversations. If were not talking about singing, it was about cars, German cars in particular, mostly BMWs.
There could not have been a better mentor to help me through the DM at IU. I will miss him most greatly.
My heart goes out to Meredith, the family, and to his current students. God be with you all.
