Petar Jankovic Ensemble on NPR’s Performance Today,Tuesday June 19

Congratulations to Jacobs School faculty member Petar Jankovic, whose ensemble, The Petar Jankovic Ensemble, will be featured on Tuesday, June 19 during the first hour of American Public Media’s Performance Today.

The recording of Paul Bellinati’s Jongo was recorded in Auer Hall on March 31, 2012.

Earlier in the month (June 11), Performance Today, aired “Ritual of Fire and Dance” from El Amor Brujo by Manuel de Falla, which was recorded at the same concert.

American Public Media’s Performance Today is broadcast on 260 public radio stations across the country and is heard by about 1.3 million people each week. Each station individually decides what time to air the program. Bloomington’s public radio station, WFIU will air the program from 1pm.
