DiOrio wins Cerddorion Vocal Ensemble Emerging Composer’s Competition

Choral conducting faculty member Dominick DiOrio was recently named the first-prize winner of the Cerddorion Vocal Ensemble Emerging Composer’s Competition. “Absence”, DiOrio’s new work for mixed chorus a cappella, will be premiered by Cerddorion in Brooklyn and Manhattan in March 2013, under the direction of James John.
