The Graduate Theory Association’s annual research symposium will take place Friday-Saturday, February 15-16. Scholars from across the U.S. and Canada will read papers relating to music theory and analysis, and a keynote address will be given by Steven Rings (University of Chicago).
Local guest speakers Gretchen Horlacher and Mark Yeary will also give talks, and there is a workshop on the music of Bob Dylan for interested graduate students. The symposium is free and open to the public, and anyone interested in music theory, analysis, or related subjects are encouraged to attend.
